Permaculture Vegetable/Herb Gardens

Costing:

The below prices include soil redemption, preparation of garden beds, sowing of seeds, mulching. A manual will be provided which will include instructions on maintaining your garden organically, season by season. Providing food and peace of mind, permaculture gardening at home or within your business premises is a viable and cost effective solution to rising food costs and the need for sustainable food gardening.

Up to 2 meter squared – R600

Up to 3 meter squared – R1 000

Up to 4 meter squared – R1 300

Up to 5 meter squared – R1 600

Please note that these prices do not include parts (netting etc.) and materials for alternative growing etc. Larger tracts of land requiring preparation and planting will need to be seen before we can give a quotation. Please note that in the case of large boulders and other material which may detract from the prep and planting process are not included in the planning of gardens. Removal of such obstacles (depending on the work required) will be an alternative service which is charged for separately.

• Summer: Asparagus, beans, beetroot, carrots, swiss chard, corn, cucumber, brinjal, lettuce, melon, onion, peppers, potato, spinach, squashes (gem-squash etc.), tomato, pumpkin, butternut, patty pans, radish, marrows
• Spring: Asparagus, beetroot, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, swiss chard, lettuce, onion, peas, potato, spinach, strawberry, radish
• Autumn: Beetroot, carrot, cauliflower, swiss chard, lettuce, peas, potato, radish, spinach, strawberry
• Winter: Broad bean, cabbage, spinach, peas, radish, sweet pepper, chilli, leeks, Chinese cabbage

Herb Growing Seasons

• Summer: Basil, celery, chives, ginger, parsnip, parsley, rocket, watercress, mint, garlic, thyme.
• Spring: Oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme, leaf mustard, Lucerne, celery, coriander
• Autumn: Calendula, celery, clover, chives, leaf mustard, parsnip, parsley, rocket
• Winter: leaf mustard, celery, parsnip, parsley, rocket

After Sales Backup and Service

While permaculture gardens are really simple to maintain, nourish & protect (either organically, which we strongly recommend, ot through the use of pesticides, the PermaPunks! Team will provide an aftercare programme which will include:

• Seasonal garden inspections
• Organic Compost: How to make your own
• Organic Protection: How to protect your garden from pests without using pesticides and how to manufacture your own organic tea’s for the protection of your garden.
• Advice on Growing: maintaining and sustaining your own permaculture vegetable or herb garden or a combination of both. It’s your choice!
• Compatibility Growing: Advice on compatibilty and incompatibility. Not all vegetables and herbs grow well together. For eg: Onion grows well with strawberries, carrots and lettuce, but not with peas and beans.
